Terms and illustrations are currently available for the six taxa that are the focus of the ARTS grant. We are updating and improving the glossary frequently. Please contact us if you would like to contribute terms or translations. A more detailed description of the TaxaGloss platform has been published in the Biodiversity Data Journal.<\/p>\n<h3>How-To Videos<\/h3>\n<p>A series of videos on how to collect, photograph and preserve material for taxonomy and systematics are available as a Series of YouTube playlists. Click here to access <a href=\"https:\/\/striresearch.si.edu\/bocas-arts\/sponge-tools\/\">Sponges<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/striresearch.si.edu\/bocas-arts\/sea-anemone-tools\/\">Sea Anemones<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/striresearch.si.edu\/bocas-arts\/tunicate-tools\/\">Tunicates<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/striresearch.si.edu\/bocas-arts\/hydrozoan-tools\/\">Hydroids<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/striresearch.si.edu\/bocas-arts\/nemertean-tools\/\">Nemerteans<\/a> and Seaweeds [coming soon].<\/p>\n<h3>Character Ontologies<\/h3>\n<p>Formal character ontologies are being developed to be developed to help improve accessibility to the taxonomic literature. Click here [coming soon] to access Sponges, Sea Anemones, Tunicates, Hydroids, Nemerteans and Seaweeds.<\/p>\n<h3>Tabular Keys<\/h3>\n<p>Tabular keys will be developed for certain families in the focal phyla. Stay tuned for future updates.<\/p>\n<h3>Taxonomy Courses<\/h3>\n<p>These 2-week workshops held a the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute&#8217;s Bocas del Toro Research Station (<a href=\"https:\/\/stri.si.edu\/facility\/bocas-del-toro\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BRS<\/a>) provide specialized training in the collection, identification and systematics of under-studied marine organisms.
