Migdonio González is an engineer who is now applying mathematical and statistical analysis to ecological data and problems. He is the manager of the Connolly Lab and the lab’s Senior Data Analyst. His main interests include applying and developing statistical methods to analyze ecological data, developing code to solve complicated problems, and bringing methods from other application areas to ecology. In addition to the above roles, he also works for the RRR project by doing scientific diving, building photomosaics, and creating code and models to help quantify bleaching from the photos taken at the coral reefs in Panama.

Migdonio graduated from the Universidad Tecnológica de Panamá where he worked as a research assistant doing data analysis. Migdonio is also part of the Ayudinga foundation, where he does volunteer work developing statistical models to quantify and assess students’ states of knowledge of and deficiencies in mathematics in Panama. Some of his hobbies include nature, spending time with dogs and cats, coding to do animations and physics, and reading interesting stories.
