Las ra\u00edces de los manglares ofrecen un lugar seguro, con alimento y muchos escondrijos donde los peces y animales peque\u00f1os pueden vivir, crecer y poner sus huevos fuera del peligro de otros depredadores.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>*Protecci\u00f3n de los suelos costeros:<\/em><\/strong> Sus ra\u00edces estabilizan la arena y el lodo formando terrenos donde otras plantas pueden crecer. Protegen al hombre, sus viviendas y estructuras de las marejadas producidas por las tormentas, huracanes y Tsunamis. Por tanto, pueden salvar muchas vidas.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>*Recursos forestales:<\/em><\/strong> Proporcionan madera para construcciones y para producir el carb\u00f3n.
