Pollen Digitization Project

Also known as PollenGeo…
Try to really understand how the forest operates through deep time. Some trees have lived for hundreds of years. Therefore, you need a long-time framework in order to see changes in the forest composition. That is why we use fossil records. Fossils tell us amazing stories of ancient times. In essence, researchers wonder about the past to understand and predict the future. For that reason, pollen collections become crucial, not just as reference material but as a training data set material for AI recognition algorithms. Which will help us to count and identify common pollen grains species.
