Gamboa Lab Open House
Visit STRI’s newest laboratory and the nearby butterfly exclosure, growing houses and experimental domes in Gamboa, and learn about the research being done there. STRI scientists and students will be present to show the facilities and talk about their work. This event will involve a rotation among different laboratories, including the bat lab (Rachel Page), the butterfly ecology and evolutionary genetics lab (Owen McMillan), the quantitative forest ecology lab (Helene Muller-Landau), the forest disease lab (Erin Spear), the evolutionary behavior and neurobiology lab (Bill Wcislo) and the domes used for experiments on plant responses to elevated carbon dioxide and temperatures (Klaus Winter).
