Collaborators on the Agua Salud Project include the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute (STRI), the Panama Canal Authority, Panama’s National Environmental Authority, and the HSBC Climate Partnership.

Within STRI, the project is being implemented as part of the Applied Ecology Program of the Center for Tropical Forest Science. Three additional institutions are essential partners in the implementation of the STRI component of the collaboration: the US Geological SurveyUniversity of Potsdam, and the University of Wyoming.
